My Shepherd
Today’s Scripture
The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
Today’s Thought
A shepherd knows his sheep. He leads them, feeds them, and protects them. David was a shepherd himself, and he looked at God and said, “That’s who He is to me.” God isn’t just a shepherd in general. He’s my shepherd, personal and attentive. Because He is, I lack nothing I truly need. That doesn’t mean we get everything we want. It means we’re never without His care. Contentment grows when we trust the Shepherd more than our wish list.
Put It Into Practice
Every time you feel the pull of “I need more” today, stop and say, “The Lord is my shepherd. I lack nothing.”
