The Word That Lasts
Today’s Scripture
The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.
Today’s Thought
Here in Florida, a week of summer heat can turn a green lawn brown. Flowers fade, headlines change by the hour, and the things we count on don’t always last. Isaiah reminds us that God’s Word is different. What God has said, He still means. His promises don’t expire, and His character doesn’t drift. When the things we lean on start to wither, like our health, our plans, or other people’s approval, we can stand on what lasts forever.
Put It Into Practice
Think of one thing you’ve been leaning on that can wither. Give it to God in prayer, and pick one of His promises to lean on instead.
