God speaks so we’ll be changed, not just informed. James warns that it’s possible to hear a lot of truth and still fool ourselves. Like a good father who wants his kids to actually do what he asked, not just nod along, God speaks and looks for a response. A great sermon or a good devotional isn’t the finish line. Obedience is where faith becomes real.
Put It Into Practice
Think of one thing God has already shown you to do, like making a call, forgiving someone, giving, or serving. Stop putting it off and do it today.
