Faithful to Forgive
Today’s Scripture
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Today’s Thought
Notice how John describes God here: “faithful and just.” Forgiveness isn’t God being soft or looking the other way. Because Jesus paid for our sin on the cross, God forgiving us is right and just, and He keeps that promise every time. He also doesn’t stop at forgiving. He cleans us up. We don’t need to hide our sin or carry it around. We just need to bring it to Him.

Take a few quiet minutes today to confess anything specific God brings to mind. Then thank Him out loud that you’re forgiven.
